My mother, Dayavanti, has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a fast-growing brain cancer that is changing her condition day by day. The tumour is not in one place anymore; it has spread across both sides of her brain, making it more severe and difficult to treat. There is swelling and rising pressure inside her head, which is why she is now dealing with constant headaches, weakness, and moments where she just isn’t herself. Sitting next to her and hearing doctors explain how the tumour is progressing is something I never imagined I would have to go through.
The doctors have asked us to start treatment immediately, radiation therapy and chemotherapy with Temozolomide, and possibly more, depending on how her body responds.
