Story

Imagine being born into a world of darkness, where you cannot see the faces of your loved ones, the beauty of nature, or even your own reflection. This is the reality for many visually impaired children in India. Sadly, these children often face not only the challenges of their disability but also rejection and abandonment by their own families.

Parents, overwhelmed by fear and misunderstanding, sometimes leave their visually impaired children in gutters, garbage, and even drains. But in the face of this harsh reality, there is a beacon of hope: Muktaben and Pankaj Dagli.

Muktaben and Pankaj have dedicated their lives to rescuing and nurturing these abandoned children. They understand firsthand these children's struggles, having grown up with similar challenges. Their organization, Pragna Chakshu Mahila Sewa Kunj is spread across four branches in Surinder Nagar, Morbi, Ahmedabad, and Umargaon.

Despite being visually impaired themselves, they run Pragna Chakshu Mahila Sewa Kunj which has become a safe haven for more than 800 visually impaired boys and girls.

When a visually impaired child is brought to their doors, Muktaben and Pankaj ensure they receive the love and care they desperately need. Many of these children come from heartbreaking situations, but at Pragna Chakshu Mahila Sewa Kunj, they are given a chance at a new life. The organization not only provides them with food, shelter, and clothing but also strives to equip them with essential life skills.

The journey is not easy. Some of the children have severe disabilities that make them unable to perform basic tasks on their own. Muktaben and Pankaj, along with their dedicated team, feed, bathe, dress, and care for these children around the clock. They patiently teach them how to manage their personal hygiene and daily routines. Their love and dedication transform the lives of these children, giving them a sense of dignity and self-worth.

Despite their tireless efforts, Muktaben and Pankaj face numerous challenges. The needs of their growing family of children are immense, and they rely heavily on the generosity of donors to keep their mission alive.

Every donation, no matter how small, makes a significant difference in the lives of these visually impaired children. It helps provide them with nutritious meals, medical care, education, and a safe and nurturing environment.

We appeal to you to join hands with Muktaben and Pankaj in their mission to give these children a brighter future. Your support can help them continue to rescue, nurture, and empower visually impaired children who have no one else to turn to.

By donating, you become a part of their journey, sharing in the joy of giving these children the chance to lead lives filled with love, hope, and possibility.

Please contribute today and help us light up the lives of these wonderful children. Your kindness can change their world.
