For over three decades, Beru Matimand Pratishthan has been a beacon of hope for society’s most vulnerable—abandoned and mentally disabled children and neglected elderly who have nowhere else to go. Founded in 1989 by Mr. and Mrs. S.P. Beru after their struggles raising a differently-abled son, this organisation has become a lifeline for those rejected by their families and society.
A Home for the Unwanted, A Family for the Alone
When Salil was just a year old, his mother left him on the streets. Helpless and alone, he was rescued by the rescue team under the guidance of Sonali Beru, the chairperson of Beru Matimand Pratishthan. Today, he is one of the 150+ residents who call this place home.
Many here are mentally disabled, traumatised, or abandoned—some don’t even remember their own names. Others are elderly, discarded by families who no longer care. But at Beru Matimand Pratishthan, they find love, dignity, and a second chance at life.
Why Your Help is Urgently Needed
Running a shelter for so many is not easy. The residents need -
Nutritious meals to keep them healthy
Diapers and hygiene supplies for bedridden patients
Safe shelter and compassionate caregivers
Medical care and therapy for disabilities
Despite limited resources, the institution refuses to turn anyone away—regardless of caste, religion, or financial status. But with rising costs, they struggle to provide even basic necessities.
They Just Need Love—And We Treat Them Like Family
Sonali Beru recalls how society often fears the mentally disabled, but she has seen how a little love transforms them. When you care for them, they love you back unconditionally, she says. All they need is food, shelter, and someone to treat them as human beings.
You Can Change Lives Today
These forgotten souls have endured enough suffering. Every rupee you donate goes directly to food, medicine, and shelter for those who have nobody else. This is more than charity—it’s giving a family to those who have lost everything.
Donate now and help us keep this sanctuary of hope alive.
Your support doesn’t just feed them—it tells them they matter. Sonali Beru
